Prophet Adam: A Free Qur'an Storybook for Kids
The story of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), the first person, told simply for children, with pictures, his du'a and a colouring page.
Updated 25 October 2026
Allah created Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) from clay, taught him the names of all things and told the angels to bow to him out of respect. Iblis refused out of pride. Prophet Adam and his wife Hawwa lived in Jannah, until Shaytan whispered to them and they ate from the one tree Allah had told them not to go near. They turned straight back to Allah, and Allah forgave them.
This storybook tells the story in simple sentences, one picture to a page, so young children can follow along. Children learn that pride is wrong, that Shaytan tries to trick us, and that when we make a mistake we can say sorry to Allah and try again.
At the end there are three questions to talk about together, the du'a of Prophet Adam in Arabic with transliteration and meaning, and a colouring page. Every picture is made in a different handmade art style, from cut paper and embroidery to linocut, ink wash and felt, and shows places, plants and nature only, with no living beings.
