Many sisters want to learn the Qur'an properly but have never found the right setting: a teacher who is qualified, a class that fits around home, work or study, and a female teacher they feel at ease with.
At Jamia Hafs, sisters and daughters can study any of our courses with a female teacher. Classes are live, never pre-recorded, and taught in Urdu and Hindi, so every rule and every correction is clear.
Why sisters choose a female teacher
Learning the Qur'an means reciting aloud, being corrected and trying again. Most sisters find this far easier with a woman as their teacher. They ask more questions, recite with more confidence and progress faster.
It also keeps learning simple for families. Mothers can study in the same home routine as their daughters, and parents of girls know exactly who is teaching their child.

Who these classes are for
Complete beginners. If you cannot read the Qur'an yet, or you stopped as a child and have forgotten, you are very welcome. Our one-to-one Qur'an reading classes start from the very first letters, with a female tutor and at times that suit you.
Sisters who read but want to read correctly. Many women read the Qur'an fluently but were never taught Tajweed. Our Basic Tajweed course is built for exactly this.
Sisters who want to memorise. Memorise the surahs you recite in Salah, or the whole Qur'an, one-to-one with a female teacher listening to every lesson.
Girls aged 4 to 13. Our Maktab programme is an online madrasa for children, taught by a qualified female teacher.
It is never too late
Many of our students are grown women who are learning the Qur'an properly for the first time, at thirty, forty or older. Starting late is common, and it is not a reason to wait any longer.
How the classes work
There are two ways to learn. Qur'an reading and Hifz are taught one-to-one, with a female teacher, at times that suit you. Basic and Advanced Tajweed run as small live classes, five days a week. Either way, you join your teacher online from a phone, tablet or computer, and each class begins with revision, then a new lesson, then recitation practice with correction.
Your teacher hears you recite in every class. You receive regular updates on your progress, and a digital certificate on completing each programme.
Fees are one simple monthly amount, from ₹500 to ₹800 depending on the course, with no registration fee and no contract. See fees and plans for each course.
