What the name means
"The last spring". Also called Rabi' ath-Thani.
What to do in Rabi' al-Akhir
- Keep the regular Sunnah fasts
The white days and Mondays and Thursdays.
- Build a daily habit
Months without special occasions are a good time to build steady habits: Qur'an every day, adhkar morning and evening.
Every month
- White days. Fast the 13th, 14th and 15th of every Islamic month (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 761).
- Mondays and Thursdays. Deeds are presented to Allah on these days, so the Prophet ﷺ liked to be fasting (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 747).
- The new moon. When you see the new crescent, say the dua for the new moon.
