Questions

Durood Sharif: the authentic forms

Where is it from?
It is reported in Sahih al-Bukhari 4798.
How many times should I read durood?
There is no fixed number. Read it as much as you can, especially on Friday. Some people set a daily number, such as 100, as a habit.
Which durood is best?
Durood Ibrahim, the one read in salah, because the Prophet ﷺ taught it when the Companions asked how to send durood on him. The forms on this page are also from him ﷺ.
Can I read durood without wudu?
Yes. Durood and dhikr do not need wudu, though wudu is better.
