The Noorani Qaida is the traditional first book for learning to read the Qur'an. It starts with the Arabic letters on their own, then joined letters, the harakat, and step by step every rule needed to read the Qur'an correctly.

This edition has every heading and rule in both Urdu and English, side by side, so children, parents and teachers can follow it in the language they are most comfortable with. It is the Jamia Hafs edition used in our own Maktab, following the traditional lesson order across 28 takhtis, in the Indian style used in mushafs printed in India.

Colours help children remember, a "spell it out" box shows how each word is read letter by letter, the way it is done in class, and every practice word is taken from the Qur'an and only uses what has already been taught.
