Dua for the deceased

In the janazah salah, at the grave, and whenever you remember someone who has died.

Allāhummaghfir lahū warḥamhu wa 'āfihi wa'fu 'anhu wa akrim nuzulahū wa wassi' mudkhalahū waghsilhu bil-mā'i wath-thalji wal-barad, wa naqqihī minal-khaṭāyā kamā naqqaytath-thawbal-abyaḍa minad-danas, wa abdilhu dāran khayram min dārihī wa ahlan khayram min ahlihī wa zawjan khayram min zawjih, wa adkhilhul-jannata wa a'idhhu min 'adhābil-qabri aw min 'adhābin-nār

O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, keep him safe and pardon him. Make his welcome honourable and his resting place wide. Wash him with water, snow and hail, and cleanse him of sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. Give him a home better than his home, a family better than his family and a spouse better than his spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
