The hadith
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah has ninety-nine Names, one-hundred less one; and he who memorized them all by heart will enter Paradise." To count something means to know it by heart
Sahih al-Bukhari 7392. The same hadith is in Sahih Muslim (2677).
The list of names below comes from the narration of Imam at-Tirmidhi (3507). He called it gharib, and scholars of hadith have graded the list itself weak, while the names are widely taught and most are found in the Qur'an. In this narration the list opens with the name Allah.
