Questions
Frequently asked
How are these prayer times worked out?
From the position of the sun for each city, using the calculation most masjids in that country follow. On every city page you can switch to another method.
My city is not listed. What should I do?
Use the nearest city, or tap "Use my location" to find the closest one. Times change by about a minute for every 15 to 20 km east or west.
Why are there two Asr times?
The Hanafi school begins Asr when an object's shadow is twice its length (plus its length at midday); the Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali schools begin it when the shadow equals its length. We show both.
Should I follow these times or my masjid?
For jama'ah, follow your local masjid. Many masjids add a few minutes of caution to the start times.
