A few minutes a daytime it takesSurah al-Fatihah, "The Opening", is the first surah of the Qur'an. It has seven ayahs and is recited in every rak'ah of every prayer, which makes it the surah every Muslim learns first. It is also spelled Surah Fatiha or Al-Fatiha.
This sheet shows each ayah on its own line, with its English meaning underneath, so you can understand what you recite. The Arabic text is taken from a verified digital mushaf.
